THE PITTSBURGH ZOO

While enjoying your stay at the Ballroom on Baum feel free to visit the world renowned Pittsburgh Zoo. The Pittsburgh Zoo is one of only six major zoo and aquarium combinations in the United States. Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's Highland Park, the zoo sits on 77 acres of park land where it exhibits more than 4,000 animals representing 475 species.

THE DUQUESNE INCLINE

To get a one of a kind view of Pittsburgh while staying at the Ballroom on Baum enjoy a ride on Pittsburgh's Duquesne Incline. The Incline is a funicular located near Pittsburgh's South Side neighborhood and scaling Mt. Washington in Pennsylvania, United States. Designed by Samuel Diescher, the incline was completed in 1877 and is 800 feet long, 400 feet in height, and is inclined at a 30-degree angle.

STRIP DISTRICT

Lined with converted warehouses, the hip Strip District in Pittsburgh has a vibrant mix of old-style grocers and gourmet food shops, street stands selling produce and t-shirts, plus upbeat bars, classic Italian eateries and sandwich places.

CARNEGIE MUSEUM

OF ART

The Carnegie Museum of Art, abbreviated CMOA, is an art museum in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The museum which was founded in 1895 collects contemporary art, including film and video works. The CMOA is a short distance from the Ballroom on Baum and is the perfect place for an afternoon outing for the whole family.
